💡 Testing the booking flow is a crucial final step to ensure you have everything perfect before sharing on your site, social media and more.
You’re almost ready, so let’s get started.
Test Booking an Appointment Internally (from your Calendar)
Go to your Calendar
Choose a date/time slot & click to create a new appointment
Select a service or class
Add a customer (use a test name/email like “Test Customer”)
Create the appointment to save
Confirm confirmation notifications email is received
View the appointment details to ensure everything saved correctly
🏆 Goal: Ensure your services, staff, and notifications are working as expected when you add bookings manually.
Test Booking through Your Booking Page (like a customer)
Open your Booking Page URL in a private browser window
Select a service and provider
Choose an available date and time
Enter test customer details (name, email, phone)
If custom fields are added check whether these are required or optional
Complete the booking
Check:
Your Setmore calendar shows the new appointment
If Google or Microsoft calendars are synced, check the appointment is appearing
Admin and customer confirmation notifications were received
If payments are enabled check to see this has been received
🏆 Goal: Experience your Booking Page the same way a client will, and confirm everything flows smoothly into your calendar.
Optional Checks
Reschedule/cancel the test booking from customer confirmation email & from calendar
If using integrations (e.g. Zoom, Google Calendar): ensure they trigger correctly
Review how the appointment looks in mobile app
