Book appointments from Facebook

Add a ‘Book Now’ button to your Facebook business page and enable customers to schedule appointments through the Facebook website and app.

Top Tip: 👉Steps 6 to 10 are crucial to ensure your accounts are connected successfully. Please ensure you follow these exact instructions for your ‘Book Now’ button to appear.


How to add a ‘Book Now’ button to your Facebook profile

1. In your Setmore web app, go to Integrations > Facebook.

2. Click ‘Connect’.

3. Login with your Facebook account details and click ‘Continue as [Profile name]’.

4. In ‘Confirm your Meta business account’, select the page to connect and click ‘Next’.

5. Review ‘What is Setmore allowed to do?’ and click ‘Next’.

6. Facebook will tell you that your accounts are linked – but you need to complete setup for your ‘Book Now’ button to appear. Next to ‘I would like to showcase my services on Facebook’, click ‘Set up’.

7. Confirm your account and catalogue (your Setmore service menu). Click ‘Next’.

8. Again, review ‘What is Setmore allowed to do?’ and click ‘Next’.

9. An ‘Activated’ label will now display next to 'I would like to showcase my services on Facebook'. This confirms that your ‘Book Now’ button is ready. You can use the other 'Set up' buttons to enable Messenger updates and Setmore for Instagram.

10. To complete, scroll to the end of the pop-up and click 'Return to Setmore.'

Be sure to open your Facebook page and test your 'Book Now' button. Appointments scheduled on Facebook instantly land in your Setmore calendar.


Disconnect your Setmore account from Facebook

1. Log into your Facebook account and select the page linked to Setmore.

2. Open the Professional dashboard from the left-hand menu.

3. In your Professional dashboard, navigate to Platform tools > Business apps.

4. In ‘Connected apps’, click 'Setmore'.

5. In the pop-up, click the ‘Manage’ button.

6. Click the three dots next to Setmore.

7. Select ‘Uninstall’ and confirm to disconnect.

8. You’ll see a pop-up confirming that Setmore is no longer connected. Click ‘Done’.


Disconnecting Facebook in your Setmore account

1. In your Setmore web app, go to Integrations > Facebook.

2. In the Facebook integration tile, click ‘Disconnect’ in the bottom-right corner.

3. In the confirmation pop-up, click 'Disconnect' again.


Sending confirmations and reminders to Messenger to Messenger.

For additional convenience, you can send a client’s booking confirmation to Facebook Messenger.

If you've already enabled the Facebook integration, follow these steps:

  • Click here and tap 'Manage integration'

  • On the FB page, select 'See features'

  • In the pop-up, select 'Set up' from the 'Send appointment updates over Facebook Messenger' section

Once complete, your Booking Page will display a ‘Send to Messenger’ option. The customer receives a booking confirmation in Facebook Messenger when selected. Additionally, when SMS or Email reminders are enabled, they will also receive a reminder in Messenger one hour before their appointment.

When clients click the ‘View details’ button on their confirmation or reminder, they are sent to a window where they can reschedule or cancel their appointment.

On desktop, customers must have an active Facebook session in the same browser to receive a Messenger confirmation. If they’re not logged into Facebook, customers will be prompted to do so when selecting 'Send to Messenger'.

On mobile, customers must be logged into Facebook in their mobile browser. If not, customers will be redirected from the Setmore app to log in. After logging into Facebook, they’ll return to Setmore and book as usual. A confirmation and reminder can then be sent to Messenger.


Creating ‘Book Now’ Facebook Ads from your profile

Showcase your services and special offers in Facebook Ads, and enable customers to click and book. Anyone can book from your ads, not just your followers. Here’s how to do it:

1. Open your Facebook business page and click ‘Create ads’ in the left-hand column.

2. In the ‘Ad Creative’ section, you'll see 'Button label.' Select 'Book Now' from the dropdown menu.

3. In the 'Website URL' option, enter your Booking Page URL. To find this URL, open your Setmore web app and go to Settings > Booking Page.

4. Specify your audience, set the ad duration and configure the Facebook Pixel (if necessary). Next, click 'Promote Now' to launch your ad.

Please refer to Facebook’s approved list of currencies for ad accounts.

I disconnected Setmore and Facebook but the integration is still active. What should I do?

Log into your Facebook account from a web browser and go to Settings > Business Apps. Locate Setmore in the list of active integrations and click ‘Remove’.
