When an appointment or class is scheduled, edited or canceled, your customer gets an automatic email notification. This fires out to them whether the booking was added or changed by a staff member or the customer.
You can also feature buttons that enable customers to reschedule or cancel appointments independently. Here’s how to do it:
Enable customer email notifications (web)
1. Navigate to Settings > Notifications > Customer Notifications.
2. In the Updates section, check the boxes next to any action that requires an email notification. Actions include when an appointment or class is booked, edited or canceled.
3. In the reminders section, click the checkbox next to Email and SMS. You can also select when your customers will receive these notifications before their appointment. Use the dropdown to change between minutes, hours and days.
Send reschedule and cancelation links
Head to Settings > Calendar & Booking > Booking Flow and switch on ‘Allow online rescheduling’.
This lets customers reschedule via your Booking Page or a button in their email confirmation.
2. Head to Settings > Calendar & Booking > Booking Flow and switch on ‘Allow online cancelations’. This lets customers cancel via your Booking Page or a button in their email confirmation.
Customers are able to manage their appointments without needing to contact your business directly.
Email reminders notify your customers about their upcoming appointments and include information like the service, provider, date, and time. Specify how far ahead reminders are sent and ensure everyone arrives on time.
Activate customer email reminders
1. Navigate to Settings > Notifications > Customer Notifications. Scroll to Appointment reminders.
2. For ‘Email’, flip the ‘On/Off’ switch to on. Email reminders are now activated.
3. Use the dropdown menu to select how far in advance reminders should be sent. There are dropdown menus for minutes, hours, days, weeks, and months.
