Goodbye Teleport –– all you need to know
Goodbye Teleport –– all you need to know

Teleport is leaving, but fear not—you can still harness the power of virtual appointments for free with Google Meet.

Updated over a week ago

Adding a video link to your appointments opens up endless possibilities: reach clients across the globe and those unable to meet in person.

Want to know what the end of Teleport means for you? Here's everything you need to continue offering video appointments:

What does this mean for you?

If you’re a Teleport user, it’s time to switch to a new video integration. The good news? Google Meet is now free so you continue to offer virtual appointments without any extra cost. Zoom is also an option for those on Pro or Team.

Don’t worry, you can still provide video appointments without any disruption to your customers' bookings. Keep your video links automated by simply connecting to Google Meet or Zoom by 30 April 2025.

Existing Teleport links will remain active and work alongside your new integration links until 30 April 2025, so no need to manually swap them out. Once you have connected Google Meet or Zoom, every new meeting link will be from the new integration.

How to connect your new video integration

Firstly, disconnect from Teleport. Go to the integration card, click 'Disconnect,' and finalize by selecting 'Yes, disconnect' from the pop-up. Read our support article for detailed steps.

Then, choose between connecting Google Meet or Zoom:

Google Meet

  1. Disconnect Teleport.

3. Click 'Connect'.

4. Select your Google account and click ‘Continue’.

5. ‘Allow’ Setmore access to your Google account.

6. If you have more than one calendar associated with your account, select one to connect.

Google Meet is now connected🎉. Repeat steps 2-6 for each team member available for video appointments.

To assign Services or Classes with a video link:

  1. Click ‘Manage’.

3. Turn on the switch for Services you want to add a video link, then click ‘Save & continue’.

4. Turn on the switch for Classes you want to add a video link.

5. Click ‘Save’ to finalize.

You can edit which services or classes have a video link in your integration tile or the Services section of your app.

  4. Click 'Assign Zoom User' to link Zoom IDs to team profiles in Setmore. Each team member needs a Zoom ID for Zoom services.

  5. Specify video services and click 'Finish'. Zoom links will be automated.

Recurring appointments

After 31 October 2024, the Teleport link attached to all appointments will no longer function and you will need to replace them with a Google Meet or Zoom link manually.

If you have recurring appointments with Teleport links, update them to include your new video integration link.

Read our support article for detailed steps for editing recurring appointments.

Note: Ensure to enable either Google Meet or Zoom for the service before making any changes.
