Block Customer

Learn how to block a customer from booking appointments with your business.

Updated today

If you’re dealing with repeat no-shows or spam bookings, you can now block specific customers from booking with your business. This feature gives you complete control over your schedule and helps protect your time and services.

How blocking a customer works

When you block a customer, they’ll no longer be able to book appointments through your Booking Page. However, they’ll still appear in your customer list for reference, and you can manually unblock them at any time. Blocking a customer does not delete their records or appointment history.

Please note: When collecting customer contact details during the booking process, be sure to make the email address and/or phone number a required field. This is necessary for us to identify and block a customer if needed. Click here to learn more.

FAQs

What happens to existing appointments if I block a customer who’s already booked?

If a customer is blocked after booking appointments, those appointments will not be removed from your calendar. They’ll remain scheduled as usual. You’ll see a “Blocked” tag next to the customer’s name in the appointment details, making it easy to spot.

Can a blocked customer still attend appointments they’ve already booked?

Yes. Blocking a customer doesn’t cancel their current bookings. They can still attend any upcoming appointments that were confirmed before being blocked. However, they won’t be able to book new appointments or make changes online.

Will blocked customers still receive appointment reminders?

Blocking a customer doesn’t stop reminders for existing appointments—they’ll continue to get any scheduled notifications for the bookings they already have.

Can I view a list of all blocked customers?

Not just yet. Right now, blocked customers are identified individually by the “Blocked” tag in the Customers tab and within appointment details. A dedicated blocked-customer list is in the works for a future update.

Can I export a report of blocked customers?

Blocked customers are included when you export your full contact list, but the file won’t currently show who is blocked. We’re planning an enhanced export feature that will highlight block status soon.

Can blocked customers leave reviews for my business?

Blocking a customer stops them from booking or updating appointments online, but it doesn’t automatically prevent reviews. If they still have access to a review link or email, they may be able to submit feedback.

Who can block or unblock customers?

The following roles can manage blocked customers:

  • Owner/Admin

  • Enhanced users

Standard users can see the blocked status but can’t make changes.

Is there a limit to how many customers I can block?

No. You can block as many customers as needed to keep your schedule running smoothly.

Will a customer know if they are blocked?

A customer won’t be notified when they are blocked. However, if they try to book, they’ll see a pop-up stating that their booking couldn’t be confirmed.

What if a blocked customer uses a different email address?

If a blocked customer books using a new email or phone number that isn’t linked to the blocked profile, the booking will go through. The system doesn’t automatically recognize alternate contact details.
