Get info on how Setmore helps you track payments for your annual IRS tax reporting

If you’re getting ready to report your personal or business taxes, Setmore can help you obtain historical data and payment information for your appointments. Below we’ve outlined what data is available and how you can access it.

Please note: Setmore does not automatically make deductions for your tax obligations, nor do we provide tax forms for transactions made through your Setmore account. Continue reading for more information.

Tax forms available through your 3rd-party account

Because we partner with 3rd party payment providers Square and Stripe, your tax forms will be available through those platforms and not through your Setmore account.

Transaction info available in Setmore

Payments you take in Setmore are tied to appointments and class sessions on your calendar. The Setmore platform also keeps a record of all transactions, which is retrievable through the Payment History tab. Data will only appear here if you have used a payment integration (Square or Stripe), or the Setmore Cash Register.

  • Start by logging into the Setmore web app at https://my.setmore.com

  • Navigate to Settings > Payment > Payment history.

  • Select a date range using the date picker in the top center of the menu.

  • Filter by search criteria, or click “Export as .XLS” to export a spreadsheet of the data.

Please note that Setmore will show each transaction as its own line item. So a refund will show as two transactions: the original successful payment, and the subsequent refund.

Appointment history available in Setmore

If you don’t have a payment integration activated, you can still retrieve a report of all appointments booked and their service costs in your account over a date range.

  • Start by logging into the Setmore web app at https://my.setmore.com

  • Navigate to Settings > Account > Basic Reporting.

  • Select a date range using the date picker in the top left of the menu.

  • Use the dropdown menus to filter by staff, service, or class session, or click “Export as .XLS” to export a spreadsheet of the data.

Please note that the data under Basic Reporting will not display the service cost for each appointment at first, but service cost will show up as a column of data in the exported spreadsheet.
