Staff Working Hours, Breaks and Time Off

Adjust your calendar's availability by setting your working hours

In Setmore, a staff member's availability and open time slots are determined by their working hours, and not your business hours.

  • Use working hours to set your core availability.

  • Use breaks to block out daily events, such as lunch.

  • Use time off for an extended leave of absence, such as a vacation.

Set working hours and breaks (Mobile app)

1. Go to Account > Staff and choose your staff profile.

2. Tap 'Working Days' to set your working hours for each day. Tap 'Save' in the top-right corner when complete.

3. Lastly, tap 'Breaks' to set your breaks for each day. Tap 'Save' in the top-right corner when complete.

Set working hours and breaks (Web app)

1. Go to Settings > Staff and choose your staff profile.

2. Tap 'Working Hours' in the top-center menu to set your working hours for each day.

3. Lastly, tap 'Breaks' in the top-center menu and set your breaks for each day.

Set time off (Mobile app)

1. Go to Account > Staff and choose your staff profile.

2. Tap 'Time Off' and '+ Time Off' to specify when you're unavailable.

3. Set the start and end dates, and whether your time off should repeat (e.g. daily or monthly). You can also enter a note for your time off. Tap 'Create' to save changes.

Set time off (Web app)

1. Go to Settings > Staff and choose your staff profile.

2. Select 'Time Off' in the top-center menu and '+ Add Time Off'.

3. In the pop-up, set the start and end dates for your time off. Save changes when complete.

Note: You can also click '+ More Options' to add notes or create recurring time off.

Additional resources

  • Consider using an Event if you need to block time on a one-off basis.

  • Activate off-hours booking and enable staff to schedule appointments outside of their working hours. Customers must still adhere to staff working hours when using your Booking Page.
