SMS usage and compliance
SMS functionality is intended solely for appointment reminders for bookings made in Setmore.
Use of SMS for any other purpose, including but not limited to marketing or promotional content, messaging related to drugs, gambling, firearms, is strictly prohibited.
SMS should not contain URLs as these are likely to be flagged as spam and will not be delivered to customers. SMS are sent via Twilio and must adhere to their guidelines (which align with US carrier regulations). Please refer to the following Twilio links for more information:
Fair Usage Monitoring
While we do not impose a fixed limit on SMS usage, we actively monitor overall usage patterns to ensure compliance with this policy and to maintain service quality across our platform.
If your SMS usage is deemed to be excessive, inconsistent with appointment reminder use, or indicative of misuse (including marketing or bulk messaging), we reserve the right to:
Block your ability to send SMS messages
Reach out to review and better understand your SMS usage
Request adjustments to ensure SMS use meets Setmore guidelines
Policy Enforcement
Accounts deemed to violate this policy may result in temporary or permanent restrictions on SMS capabilities, in accordance with our Terms of Service.
