The Mailchimp integration automatically sends new customer details from Setmore to your preferred Mailchimp subscriber list. This includes when you add a new customer through the ‘Customers’ tab and when customers add themselves through your Booking Page.

For the best results, you'll want to make sure that the contact fields in Mailchimp match the contact fields in Setmore. We'll cover this later in the article.

Note: Details collected via custom contact fields in Setmore will not transfer to Mailchimp. Only data in Setmore's default contact fields (Name, email, phone number and address) can be exported.

When enabled, this integration automatically exports all new customer details to Mailchimp.

Connect your Setmore account to Mailchimp

  1. In your Setmore web app, go to ‘Apps & Integrations’ and click the ‘Mailchimp’ card.

  2. Click the ‘Activate’ button.

  3. In the ‘Setup Trigger’ screen, ‘Contacts’ will be pre-selected. Click ‘Continue’.

  4. In the ‘Select Account’ screen, click ‘Connect’. You’ll be taken to the Mailchimp login page.

  5. Enter your Mailchimp username and password and click ‘Log In’.

  6. In the ‘Authorize Setmore’ screen, click ‘Allow’. This enables Setmore to share data.

  7. Next, select a subscriber list to receive customer details from Setmore. A message will appear to confirm that the integration is enabled.

  8. Map the data fields in Setmore with those in Mailchimp. Click ‘Continue’.

  9. Test the integration to ensure customer details are populating in Mailchimp correctly.

  10. In a separate browser tab, open Mailchimp. Click ‘Settings’ and select ‘Audience fields and *|MERGE|* tags’.

  11. You’ll see a list of all data fields. Double-check that these data fields align with those in Setmore.

Finding the data fields in your Setmore account

Your Setmore and Mailchimp data fields need to match in order for customer details to transfer correctly. The form field titles should be identical across both platforms including spaces, dashes and capitalization.

  1. To verify the data fields in Setmore, head to ‘Apps & Integrations’ and click the ‘Configure’ button.

  2. Open the ‘Booking Policies’ tab and scroll to the ‘Contact Fields’ section. You’ll see the field titles and can determine which details to export.

Note: The ‘Name’ field is exported by default but is not displayed here.
